Rescue Children Mission
Isaiah 58:10 “ And if you draw out your soul to the hungry, and satisfy the afflicted soul; then shall your light rise in darkness, and your darkness shall be as the noonday”.
Most people do not understand what trafficking is. Here is the official description I found: Human trafficking is the commerce and trade in the movement or migration of people, legal and illegal, including both legitimate labor activities as well as forced labor. The term is used in a more narrow sense by advocacy groups to mean the recruitment, transportation, harboring, or receipt of people for the purposes of slavery, prostitution, forced labor (including bonded labor or debt bondage), and servitude.
Trafficking victims typically are recruited using coercion, deception, fraud, the abuse of power, or outright abduction.
Exploitation includes forcing people into prostitution or other forms of sexual exploitation, forced labor or services, slavery or practices similar to slavery and servitude. For children, exploitation may also include forced prostitution, illicit international adoption, trafficking for early marriage, or recruitment as child soldiers, beggars, for sports (such as child camel jockeys or football players), or within certain religious groups.
What is on our heart is that we need to:
- Intercede on behalf of the weak, broken, downcast, widow and orphans
- Pray the Lord will break in with light and expose the darkness of human trafficking – the recruiters and traffickers brought to justice
- Pray the Lord will break in with truth and that justice will prevail
- Pray for the ending of Human trafficking – for corruption in the local police, government to be exposed
- Pray for safe homes and aftercare ministries – for funding, wisdom, protection and help
- Pray for the rescued – for inner healing, salvation and a life of freedom
- Pray for protection for children and families that are vulnerable due to their situations (poor, hungry, etc)
- Sponsorship for Children’s in Southern Asia/Thailand, Burma, Laos, Cambodia, Vietnam, India…
The poor are exploited – recruiters capitalize on vulnerable situations. There needs to be solutions to educate the poor about trafficking and provide solutions for the poor to earn money rather than selling their children or forcing their children to beg. So many children are treated as commodities. They are sold in order for the parents to receive money to purchase food or even to purchase a home or a Television! Traffickers use false promises to lure the children from their families. Children are beaten, raped and lied to in order to keep them from running. Within 48 hours of a child’s abduction, they become victims of an extreme act of violence. Violence is used to imprint the slaveholders dominance on the child. Shame is used to keep the children from running back to their village.
Human trafficking brings profits to many economic sectors. Often sex slaves are labeled “prostitutes.” Therefore, the perception is they are criminals or sexual deviants or victims of their environment: desperate for survival, the kids “choose” to sell their bodies for profit. This is SO not true! A child would not “choose” the repeated trauma of 10 or more grown men penetrating their bodies every evening. This is not a choice….this is rape!
There are SO many that are taken or coerced – women, men and children – into slave labor. It starts with an owner of a business offering a loan to the family and then a job. Possibly the job is in a rice mill or making bricks, etc. The family or individual signs a contract which most often they cannot read. In the contract it states how much they will make per day and that interest is charged to the loan (at large amounts). They will NEVER pay this loan off. We know God can intervene and expose and stop trafficking! The men (“Johns”) in country and from other countries need to stop wanting to have sex with these children. Women are involved most often as recruiters in this industry. The issue seems so BIG but I know that our God through His people is capable of miracles.
UN report said that the biggest risk for stateless children is not having education. All by-lateral aid development has been stopped from reaching children in the Mekong Highlands. This makes your love, mercy, and compassion for these children more important than you can ever imagine.60 years of civil war in Myanmar targeting minority tribal villages. Villages are displaced, children escape from being child soldiers, slave porters for armies, fleeing massacres of family and friends. Classified as illegal aliens with no legal right to live in the world. Living in extreme poverty slum and squatter settlements, children begging and sleeping on streets, children being sexually abused as young as 5 years old. For 40 years stateless tribal boys & girls have been hunted for sex slavery, since the start of tourist flights & the Vietnam War R&R. The risks for children are extremely high, the consequences are devastating, only being released when terminally ill or dead. Children more valuable than drugs are sold 16 times a day > everyday, causing intense physical pain. If a child escapes, the system enslave them again-because they do NOT have skill, knowledge or resources to Maintain their Freedom. Violence and starving, are used to get them to cooperate. Emotional pain. Contagious sexual diseases all at one time, gonorrhea, inflammatory discharge, syphilis, secrets mucus from vagina, lesions damaging the cardiovascular & nervous systems, growths like mushrooms through out the body and in their vagina, in damaged or diseased areas, and AID’s, lowering resistance to infection & malignancy – fatal. Psychosis, a severe mental disorder in which thought and emotions are so impaired that contact is lost with external reality
